Update: DLSS bugs are fixed

The DLSS issues originally documented in this post have been patched. The game now runs very smoothly with DLSS enabled, screen flashing is completely gone, and alt-tabbing works reliably.

What was breaking immersion

Before the patch, players running DLSS experienced:

  • Particle-heavy clashes would smear and ghost with DLSS on.
  • Sharpening swung wildly between scenes, leaving characters soft or oversharpened.
  • Screen flashing during intense combat sequences.
  • Alt-tabbing out of the game caused visual glitches or a broken state on return.

What's working now

  • DLSS runs smoothly — no ghosting or smearing in spell-heavy fights.
  • Screen flashing is completely gone.
  • Alt-tabbing in and out of the game works as expected.
  • Sharpness stays consistent across scenes and combat states.

Result

Clear silhouettes, consistent sharpness, and smooth DLSS performance mean players can focus on the battlefield instead of fighting their graphics settings. The implementation now works the way it should.
